Brookside Repertory Theatre is a non-profit theater company. Our primary mission is to bring an energetic new vision to Bay Area theater, one which highlights both new playwrights and the diversity of local talent the region has to offer discerning audiences. To achieve this goal we will:

• Provide opportunities for theater artists – playwrights, actors, directors, producers -- to develop new material for theater audiences.
   
• Promote, sponsor and produce works for a theater audience that build awareness of social issues, enhance the understanding of diverse populations and generate pride in and knowledge of past identities while strengthening present and future ones.
   
• Strive to fulfill the needs of members of the theater group arising from changing artistic needs, venues, and audiences.
   
• Join with other theaters and theater companies of the San Francisco Bay Area theater community to promote theater works and to identify and act upon issues of common concern.
   
• Promote professional growth and artistic training of members.
   
• Encourage, promote, create, conduct and teach community-based theater programs drawing on the talents of the nucleus of directors, actors, playwrights, and solo performers in Brookside Repertory Theatre.
